My name is Ryan Henderson, I’m an Online Marketing Coordinator at SVM. I worked in the non-commercial food service industry for two years before discovering my passion for digital marketing.
I’m a new addition to the team at SVM, I started my position as an online marketing coordinator in March of 2019. Since that time, I’ve been exposed to all facets of digital marketing and have worked on many interesting and challenging projects. I’ve already learned more than I ever thought possible since starting at SVM, and I’m exciting to dive into more challenges and projects in the future.
The continual learning experience is definitely the most exciting aspect for me, I pursued a career path at an agency because I am fascinated about learning the ins and outs of multiple industries. At SVM, the learning never stops, not a day has gone by where I haven’t learned something new and exciting. Online marketing is a fast-moving concept, there’s always something new – whether it be a new trend, Google update or strategy to test – there is always a reason to be excited to come into work every day.
Handling the learning curve while juggling multiple deadlines. SVM has very high standards, and it can be challenging to adhere to those standards while learning all about new industries, platforms and digital marketing best practices, especially when you have tight deadlines to meet. Luckily, the SVM team is very supportive and everyone offers to help every step of the way. SVM has taught me how to think strategically for every task, and I’ve already grown a significant amount as a result.
I’m passionate about online marketing because the ever-changing digital landscape is endless with new and exciting opportunities. When there’s a big change in Google’s algorithm, or the introduction of a new handy software, it’s an open floor for new strategy development. The thrill and excitement of being able to test new strategies and track their results is amazing, especially when you see your efforts pay off.
In my spare time, I really enjoying cooking. If I’m not cooking, I can usually be found watching cooking YouTube channels – gearing up for the next meal I try to take on. Other than that, I like to relax at the beach, spend time with friends and family, and occasionally I’ll go to NYC for the sole purpose of scoping out the best food.
